Toyota has revealed new details regarding their attempt to break the Nurburgring record for electric vehicles on August 29th.

The unnamed racing prototype is seen here for the first-time. It has a 41.5kWh lithium-ceramic batteries that powers two electric motors producing 381 PS (280kW/375 hp) as well as 800 Nm (590Nm) of torque. The 970 kg (2138 lb.) sports car will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, and reach a maximum speed of 260 km/h (162 MPH).

If all goes according to plan Toyota will beat the current EV record 9 minutes and 1.338 second set by the Peugeot EX1 design.
