This Hilux spent 25 years in Japan. It’s now preparing to make an American very happy.
A rugged Toyota Hilux camper is available for those looking for an overlanding vehicle. It’s currently on its way to the United States from Japan. This machine was purchased by an American buyer with the intention of selling it in the U.S. The rig dates back to early 1994 so you can register it under the 25-year importation rules.
The exterior of the Hilux is given an apocalyptic appearance by a satin black coat. It is easy to picture the truck speeding through the desert, with dust suspended in the air. This scene could be the opening of a movie. This truck’s tough exterior is only enhanced by its higher ride height. The dual rear axle is equipped with an air suspension and leaf springs for serious off-road adventures.
You won’t be able to go far in this truck, so enjoy the ride. Under the hood is a 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel engine with a factory rating for 90 horsepower (67 Kilowatts) as well as 139 pound-feet (181 Newton-meters). The engine runs on a 5-speed manual transmission, with an optional four-wheel drive system that provides additional traction.
This camper’s interior is so beautiful that anyone could live in it. Two beds are available – one that converts from the couches and the other above the cab. You will find everything you need, including a kitchenette, fridge, and a bathroom with a shower. There are plenty of cabinets to store everything. This arrangement looks better than small houses, and it doesn’t require a tow vehicle for transport.
