Toyota wants to make the Aygo more appealing for younger people by creating a new paint scheme with a funny name, “Yellow Fizz”.
The Toyota’s funky Aygo is a sister car to the Citroen C1 and Peugeot 108. It can be customized in many ways, and there’s now an “x-cite” special edition that gives it a unique look. It is described as the “most extrovert” variant of the range and features a new color called “Yellow Fizz”. The bold color is complemented by piano black accents for both the front fascia’s “X”, as well as the rear bumper insert.
To distinguish it from the Aygos-like Aygos, Toyota gave the new xcite a bold black finish for its side mirror caps as well as the front fender garnish. The vehicle rides on 15-inch glossy black alloys with bold black center caps. It is also available with a black roof that contrasts the otherwise yellow body. Interior-wise, the Yellow Fizz theme is continued on the seat side cushions, carpets and gearshift knob as well as on the inserts for the air vents. Bold Black accents are also found on the outside. The cabin’s center console, instrument panel and gear lever surround all adopt a similar look.
As standard, the interior door handles are finished in shiny chrome. It shouldn’t take too much to park your city car, considering that the second-gen Aygo measures only 136 inches (355 mm). This second edition of the “xcite” will be available in Europe beginning June. It is powered by a 1.0-liter gasoline engine. It produces 69 horsepower (51 kilowatts), and 70 lbft (95 newton metres) of torque. It can be ordered with either a manual or optional automatic manual transmission.
