Toyota Supra Redesigned As A Sports Car With Mid-Engined Engines
It is not based on any other midengined car.

Is there still a lot of hype about the new Toyota Supra model? The car was teased for over a decade and finally revealed last month in Detroit. This is the first time that the new sports car has been envisioned as a mid-engine vehicle. We’ve seen it in many different ways. Rain Prisk, a Facebook user, did a great job.

The artist claims that this render was created using only one vehicle, as you can see from the image. This is quite amazing, as it makes the car look completely different. We can see shades of FerrariMcLaren, and even a little Corvette. It is interesting to see how well the Supra’s body lines can be adapted to a mid-engined configuration. That is if you rearrange every panel. It would be challenging to create a Supra in real life with the engine in its middle. Considering Rain Prisk’s renders, it’s likely that devising the digital version wasn’t an easy task.

Supra Renderings Galore:

It’s clear that the Supra is still being talked about by many people. This shows there is still a lot of excitement for this sports car. The BMW-sourced engine underneath the car has caused some controversy. CX Racing, a California-based company, is currently promoting a 2JZ engine-swap kit. However, we have already tested the 3.0-liter turbo six in a Supra prototype, and it is quite capable on its own. Although we understand the argument of the purists, we are still waiting to test the engine in a production-spec car before making any further judgment.

A mid-engined Supra could make a great partnership partner for BMW. We would love to see the new M1 out on the streets.
