Toyota Supra V10 Formula Drift Racer’s Build That We Didn’t Expect Ryan Tuerck has a new creation. Ryan Tuerck is a Formila Drift champion. He currently drives a Toyota Corolla Hatchback built and maintained by Papadakis Racing. The drift racer turned professional is also interested in building cars. We saw the last Tuerck car at the 2016 SEMA Show. He successfully inserted a Ferrari 4.5-liter V8 in a Toyota 86, and named it the Toyota GT4586. Tuerck hasn’t stopped creating crazy builds. He presented a complete Formula Supra in time for the SEMA Show. Although there are some slight differences in the design of this sports coupe, what really makes this Supra unique is the Judd GV4 4.0L V10. Judd V10s are a well-known name in motorsports, especially Formula One in the 1990s. The GV4 V10 was a winner at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2002 and Doran Lista won the overall Rolex 24 at Daytona. This thing sings like a naturally-aspirated, high-revving race car engine. The Judd V10 is equipped with a custom driveshaft, a rear differential from the Ford Explorer and produces 750 horsepower (559kilowatts). It is sent to the wheels by a six-speed sequential transmission from Holinger. Tuerck’s V10-powered Supra took more than a year to complete. There were many body modifications that resulted in the finished product you see today. That was with the help of Dominic Biro, Race Service garage in Los Angeles. The Formula Supra was unveiled by Tuerck at the SEMA Show. However, the video below shows how it performed on the dyno. Before you watch the video above, I ask you to put on your best headphones. The final part of the video is better if you have the noise cancelling turned on.
