Toyota Teases Second Super Bowl Ad with Tundra and People Named Jones

The Joneses are ready for a race on the dirt.

Toyota teases another Super Bowl commercial, this time with the 2022 Toyota Tundra, and people named Jones.

The automaker released a series teasers showing the latest Toyota full-size truck in action on the desert with celebrities behind the wheel. Tommy Lee Jones, a veteran actor, is one of the many who sat behind the truck in a cowboy hat similar to Lonesome Dove. The teaser video is embedded above.

Next teaser shows Leslie Jones driving a Toyota TRD Pro. The comedian tauntingly says that Tommy and Leslie are having an argument. Rashida Jones joins the fray with the second teaser. The embedded videos at the end of the story allow you to view the second and third teasers.

This is the second Super Bowl advertisement from the Japanese marque. The first commercial highlights two brothers’ journey to cross-country ski victory.

The first Toyota Super Bowl commercial features Robin and Brian McKeever. They went on to win 10 Paralympic gold medals. Robin is now a Paralympic and cross-country ski coach and guide, and Brian is a Global Team Toyota Athlete.

Toyota will share the journey of the brothers through the 60-second spot. It will air during The Big Game’s inaugural commercial break.

Super Bowl LVI will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2022. There should be several commercials during intermissions. Due to the huge following of the NFL in America, many automakers have aired their ads during this time.
