Toyota has created a very unusual KIKAI concept to be used at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show.

Although it’s difficult to describe the KIKAI, it seems to have a steampunk theme. It mixes up cues of a hot rod with a buggy. It has many of its internal parts exposed, making it appear like it came straight from Wacky Races.

The interior cabin has a three-seat layout. The driver sits up front and is in the central position. There are two rear seats. The KIKAI’s interior has a curved metal bar that features four dials. You will also see the small windows in its footwells, through which you can inspect the suspension. The large side windows that extend onto the roof make it easy for everyone to see.

Toyota KIKAI was created as a fun concept, with virtually no chance it will ever be built. It will be available for anyone who finds it interesting at the Tokyo Motor Show, October 30, where it will be displayed alongside the FCV Plus and F-FR concepts.
