We will see more in March 17
A new teaser video for the Toyota X Prologue gives a glimpse at the front end of the model. March 17th will mark the vehicle’s official debut.
The teaser image shows the running light and the stackable LED headlights. The nose has a crease that creates a step at the front of your body.
Although there isn’t much information about the X Prologue yet, a teaser earlier suggests that it’s a midsize SUV and the first EV to ride on E-TGNA. Toyota has not yet mentioned plans to sell the vehicle outside of Europe. However, the company plans to manufacture the model in Japan at an EV only factory. This would mean that the product would be readily available in Japan.
E-TGNA platform eventually will spawn a range of role vehicles. There will be a minivan, sedan, small crossover and larger crossover models. They will all be given new names, which will not be related to any existing Toyota products.
The E-TGNA platform supports all types of front- and rear-wheel-drive configurations. It can handle various sizes of batteries and outputs from electric motors.
The E-TGNA models are nothing like the current lineup of Toyota vehicles, according to Toyota’s renderings. They all share a futuristic look with a sleek, modern appearance but with subtle curves to avoid looking too plain. The X Prologue teaser shows tiny headlights that look similar to the one shown.
Subaru is working with Toyota to develop the mid-sized crossover. It is likely that Toyota will produce its own version. According to reports, the styling is very similar to the brand’s unnamed 2020 EV concept. It is very similar to the Toyota E-TGNA vehicle concept. According to some reports, the model will be called Evoltis.
