They will only be 25 and each one will cost $4.1million.
The Gordon Murray Automotive will receive a track-only version with more power, more downforce and more torque than the road-going supercar. They will be limited to 25 units and sold for PS3.1 million (at current exchange rates, $41 million). However, over half of these units have already been purchased.
Gordon Murray Automotive currently refers to the track-spec model as the T.50s, but the company says a “historically-significant official name will be announced later this year at its global reveal.”
The T.50s maintains the road car’s naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter V12, but increases the output to 720 horsepower (537 Kilowatts), instead of the standard’s 654 HP (488 kW). Gordon Murray spoke highly of the new model, saying that there was no noise regulation or emission legislation.
The T.50s has a paddle-shifted six speed manual instead of the six-speed manual road car.
T.50s gets a revamped body that can produce as much as 3,307 lbs (1,500 kg) of downforce to keep it on the track. Most notable are the 69.21 inch (1.758 millimeter) wide rear deck wing and the fin running from the roof to the back.
Roof-mounted scoops rise high enough to reach the boundary layer of air. This creates a ram air effect, which provides approximately 30 horsepower (22 kW) of an engine’s increased output.
Gordon Murray Automotive takes the interior down to its bare bones. The driver remains in the central position, but is seated in a racing seat made of carbon fiber with a six-point harness. The steering wheel is rectangular and has buttons for traction control, launch control as well as pit-lane intercome and neutral. The pilot is now the only passenger.
Gordon Murray Automotive reports that all 100 units of the T.50 road-spec T.50 were sold in less than 48 hours. Production will begin in January 2022. The asking price for the supercar is PS2.36million ($3.1 million).
