This rugged outfit also includes all-terrain tires, bronze wheels and black badges
Toyota will increase its RAV4 Hybrid lineup in 2023 by adding an adventure-themed trim level to the vehicle. The RAV4 Hybrid Woodland Edition 2023 follows the same formula as its predecessor, with darkened trim and new wheels. This creates a rugged-looking SUV. The Woodland Edition offers more than an attractive package.
Nevertheless, the hybrid’s appearance will be the most important thing to buyers. The SUV is available in three exterior colors: Midnight Black Metallic or Cavalry Blue. The rugged look is further enhanced by the bronze wheels and all-terrain tires. Mudguards are also included behind each wheel. Roof rack cross bars are mounted on the top of each roof, and Woodland Edition floor mats grace its interior. The 120V inverter is built into the vehicle to provide power for household items and enhance off-road adventures.
Toyota offers minor suspension adjustments courtesy of TRD. Coil springs receive tuning designed to better cope with bumps while maximizing compression-direction wheel travel. TRD also pays attention to shocks with special Woodland Edition valving and internal rebound springs. These are designed to provide better roll and body control on large bumps. The Woodland Edition’s ride height has not been changed. With the emphasis on tuning rather than upgrading components, it isn’t ready for rock crawling. Toyota believes the changes make enough of an impact to be noticeable when you leave the pavement.
The RAV4 Hybrid Woodland Edition comes standard with LED headlights, integrated fog lights and Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 driver assistance and safety systems. All hybrid models have all-wheel drive and a CVT that delivers the power. The familiar 2.5-liter four cylinder engine makes 219 combined horsepower.
Toyota’s new Audio Multimedia system is now available on all 2023 Toyota Rav4 models. It can handle both over-the-air updates and dual Bluetooth smartphone connectivity. All connected services are available with subscription plans and can be accessed via a standard 8 inch multimedia screen on all trim levels. TRD Off-Road trims include a larger 10.5-inch screen. Standard on Limited and Prime XSC trims is a 12.3-inch multiinformation display.
Toyota has not yet announced the pricing or availability of the 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Woodland Edition. It will likely go on sale in the latter part of the summer.
