A minor visual upgrade can be paired with an increase in performance.
BMW loves to offer high-performance versions for many of its models. However, not all cars in the lineup get the M badge. The X7 M50i crossover is missing from the M lineup. Aftermarket tuner Dahler can help you make your X7 even more sinister.
Dahler was not satisfied with the 523 horsepower (390 Kilowatts) or 553 pound-feet (775 Newton-meters), but that wasn’t enough. The Dark Shadow Edition is tuned to produce 621 horsepower (463 kW) as well as 612 lb.ft (830 Nm). This is a significant increase in power. However, the tuner plans to upgrade the SUV’s Stage 2 performance. The SUV will now produce 637 horsepower (475 kW) as well as 627 lbft (850 Nm).
You get an upgraded look with the upgraded performance. Dahler used black chrome trim bits to the exterior. The unique 11-by 23-inch forged wheels and lowered air suspension certainly enhance the SUV’s appearance, as well as the matte gray finish. To modulate the sound, the upgraded stainless-steel fourpipe exhaust system matches the dark wheels. The trick exhaust function is controlled by buttons on the steering wheel.
Dahler did not provide details on how the upgraded X7 performed compared to its regular counterpart, but it is expected to outperform the standard X7M50i. Although the company kept interior modifications to a minimum they offer customers the option to increase the speedometer’s reading to 205 miles an hour (335 kilometers per hour). Dahler will limit production to 500 units of the X7 Dark Shadow Edition. This is one of few ways that BMW won’t make an M-like X7.
