VIP Design, a London-based tuner, has done a series on Jaguar F-Type R AWD Coupe upgrades that have produced a powerful 650 horsepower.
This Jaguar F Type R in all-wheel drive flavor has the same appearance as the regular model, with the exception of some flashy gold wheels. This is because the engine compartment, where the supercharged V8 engine of 5.0-liters went through several tweaks, was where most of the magic took place.
VIP Design increased the F-Type R’s V8 to 550 horsepower (404kilowatts). This gives it more power than the 575-hp FType SVR . The aftermarket experts installed high-flow air filters to increase the power output of the R and modified the supercharger pulley. Software optimization was also discussed. They increased the supercharger’s boost pressure.
Although the tuner doesn’t know how fast the FType R upgraded is in the sprint from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h), it should be faster than the stock model, which completed the task in 3.9 seconds. We do know that the R’s top speed has increased to 186 mph (300 km/h), while the SVR-matching 200+mph (322+ Kph) is now the norm.
VIP Design’s F-Type R AWD Coupe is 30mm lower than the VIP Design version. It also has upgraded suspension parts, joints and rubbers. The new high-performance exhaust features two sound levels and can be swapped for one of 23 other designs in 28 colors. For those who want to spend more, a polished carbon-fiber look can be had for the rear diffuser and side skirts as well as the mirror caps. These can be matched with carbon fiber hood air vents.
VIP Design offers a package starting at PS12,600 ($18.260). It can be installed at their Warwickshire facility or shipped internationally.
