B&B Automobiltechnik introduces a Comprehensive Performance Package for the BMW HTML3 and M4 duo.
Tuners see great potential for upgrading the turbocharged straight six engine that powers the M3 or M4 models. It’s not surprising that B&B is trying to squeeze more power. The first stage kit, which costs EUR1,798 to boost the motor’s output to 490 HP, can be upgraded to the stage 2 kit for EUR2,950 to increase power to 540 horsepower.
Modifying the turbochargers and installing a larger intake tract will result in a significant increase. The tuner can also modify the engine’s ECU to mount a more efficient charge-air cooler.
The stage 3 kit will increase the power to the engine to 580 horsepower and 553 pound-feet (553 Nm) which allows the M4 to reach speeds of 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standing stop in 3.5 seconds. To reach 124 mph (200 km/h), the time required is cut to 11.2 seconds. The 155-mph speed limiter is removed to allow for a maximum speed of more than205 mph (330 km/h).
There’s more to this tuning package than just the three-stage power kit as B&B Automobiltechnik also has a thermostatically-controlled supplementary oil cooler system for EUR1,495. For EUR698, you can add a suspension kit or lowering springs for EUR398. These will bring your car closer to the road by 30 and 20 millimeters front and rear. For EUR2,069., the tuner can provide a fully-adjustable KW coilover suspension to your BMW.
You can match the engine’s extra power with a stronger brake system that has 396-mm front and 360-mm rear vented disks. These discs can be used with stock 19-inch wheels. For an additional EUR3,950, you can upgrade to a 20-inch set with 255/30/R20 front tires and 305/25/R20 back tires.
