The owner should roll it at least once, and that is enough to keep him safe.
External roll cages are something that hardcore off-roaders use, in part, because the bars provide great places for attaching gear or tying down gear. But Alex Choi has an interesting take on this aesthetic, applying it to his Lamborghini Huracán. Choi is calling the end result Monkey Bars for now.
The exterior was inspired by the Fast & Furious 6 flip car. The bars of the external roll cage are made from a mixture of stainless steel and chromoly, and the pink color is very eye-catching. Speedtech Lights, Choi’s sponsor, has 42 lamps for him. There are four spotlights in front of Choi and a light bar at the roof.
The rear is where most of the body panels have been removed, but the roll cage retains its original shape. Choi likes the fact that the original taillights have been turned upside down. There is also a huge wing and diffuser there.
The engine is also crazy, to match the insane look. A custom twin-turbo setup is added to the 5.2-liter V10. The intakes are located above the rear end and have massive air filters made from semi trucks. The builder also created special air-to air intercoolers to suit the setup.
Choi does not give any details about the engine’s power, but he claims that pushing the throttle feels like you are at warp speed. We hope a future video demonstrates this.
Monkey bars are street legal, and meet California emissions, despite their wild appearance. Choi appears to enjoy upsetting Lamborghini purists at coffee meets in Los Angeles, when they see his strange build.
