A short spy video gives a glimpse at the new headlight designs for the C Class. Although this is not the first time we’ve seen them it’s the best way to compare the two options.
The LED lights to the left look very similar to the Multibeam units on other Mercedes models. The parts on the right, however, are likely to be stock parts for the refreshed C-Class. These parts still have LEDs, but they are not in the same jewel-like arrangement. The updated C-Class was even captured in spy photos with simple, halogen lights.
The exterior of the C-Class isn’t getting any major upgrades. The model has minor changes to its front fascia, taillights and rear bumper. However, these are not enough to completely overhaul the look of the vehicle.
Mercedes’ C-Class cabin is now equipped with new technology from Mercedes. The revised center stack features an updated infotainment system and a console-mounted touchpad. Base trims will have analog gauges within the instrument cluster. However, a digital layout is likely to be an option.
There will be many powertrain options available to buyers. The C350e plug in hybrid and turbocharged four-cylinder will remain at the bottom of this range. C43 AMG could switch over to Mercedes’ six-cylinder inline 6. The C63 will have the 4.0-liter biturbo engine V8. will get the new C63 R, which will likely be the most powerful version of the range. Although diesel-fueled engines will be available to Europeans, they won’t likely be sold in the U.S.
