Do you want to add a show vehicle to your garage?
Scottsdale’s Barrett-Jackson sale is not unfamiliar with special cars. Last year, the auction saw two very popular cars go through it: the Toyota Supra as well as the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. These cars are truly extraordinary, right? These cars were sold for $2.1 million and $1.1million, respectively.
However, this year is a little different. It’s not all about the price tag. A little history will be on the Barrett-Jackson auction block.
As you can see, the Scottsdale auction will feature a 2008 Cadillac CTS Sport Concept show car. You can own the exact example that was at the 2007 SEMA Show, or you can buy it through Barrett Jackson.
The second-generation CTS is still in its original form, with the wire mesh inserts on the hood, carbon-fiber front extractors and forged 20-inch wheels. High-performance brakes have painted calipers and drilled/slotted discs. The auction car comes with the 3.6L V6 engine with direct injection and a 6-speed manual transmission.
But there’s one problem. This CTS Sport Concept, a modified show vehicle, is not legal to drive on public roads. It’s also not legal to drive on public roads if you have a junk title. You will need a private road to drive the car. Or you can keep it as an ornament in your garage.
Scottsdale Auction Block, lot 637: The CTS Sport Concept Show Car with VIN 1G6DM57758010053535 is available for purchase.
