By green, we mean gray…ish
Let’s face the facts, we have all spent metaphorically hours leafing through (the now only online-only) Auto Trader playing all kinds of games including what we would buy if the lottery was won tomorrow.
It was a weekend that left me feeling sloppy, so I decided to search the internet for something. It’s a Koenigsegg Edition CCXR.
Although it is called one-of-a-kind, this particular car is one of four. However, the steering wheel is on the right side of the car. GVE London lists the hypercar. It is powered by a twin supercharged (yes, that’s really) 4.8-liter V8 producing 876 horsepower. However, if you are of the environmentally-friendly persuasion, you can put biofuel in it which ups the power to a ludicrous 1,004 hp, proving that going green is the way forward.
This car includes a full dealership service history, new bodywork and a red part-suede inside. The exterior has an impeccable exposed carbon fiber finish. The car is listed as a 2017 model despite the CCXR Edition being a ten-year-old vehicle. It was shown for the first time at Earls Court’s MPH Show in 2008.
What is the price of all that carbon fiber Greenpeace goodness? At current exchange rates, PS1.8million or $2.33M. This is, in other words, “quite the lot.” The 2008 list price was PS1,197,426, which is reasonable considering how hypercars have appreciated in price. They do accept credit cards and part exchanges, according to the listing.
The CCXR edition is a great way to get a piece of Swedish automotive history if you have spare cash.
