Unmarked BMW M3 Police Car Used by Australian Police

It’s not like anyone is speeding through this area of Australia.

This news will be shocking to criminals in the Land Down Under. A Facebook group called Australian Police Vehicles claims that the latest addition to Australia’s law enforcement fleet is a BMW. It’s more than a Bimmer. This BMW has 425 horsepower (317 KiloWatts) as well as 406 pound-feet (405 Nm).

If you are in the area and intend to break the law, whether you want to rob banks or speed limit violations, this San Marino Blue M sedan will not be happy with you.

The BMW M3 police car is less well-known than the fact that it is unmarked, but has prominently flashing red/blue lights. The M3 can sprint at 60 miles an hour (97 km per hour) in 3.9 seconds. The M3 has a maximum speed of 155 mph (249 km/h), but it can reach 174 km/h if the package includes the M Driver. You’ll have to be able to outrun that.

The unmarked M3 is a threat to criminals. However, Australian Police Vehicles posts suggest that there are more powerful police vehicles in the Land Down Under. They have a Kia Stinger and an HTML5 Competition.

It’s not the first time that we have seen fast vehicles enlisted as law enforcement vehicles. We have seen a Nissan GT-R donated previously to Japan’s police force, as well as a ex-mafia Ferrari 458 Spider given to the Italian police.

Out of all the police cars that we have seen, Dubai has the fastest, with a Bugatti Veyron, and a Lamborghini Aventador. It will be difficult to match that.
