It’s yours for just the price of a Mitsubishi Mirage.
Sneaky sleepers are our favorite. Sleepers are for everyone. Sleepers are cool, so don’t take it personal. This Geo Tracker is a rare find. It’s been a while since one was quite so crazy. And yes, this mini-missile with V8 engine is available for purchase.
The Drive found this amazing Tracker for sale on Craigslist. The seller is asking $14,000. A 1993 Geo any would normally bring about a 30-second episode or more of unrestrained laughter. But this Tracker is anything but ordinary. An unnamed horsepower hero from Las Vegas saved this Geo from a life of misery and mediocrity. He proved once again that an LS swap could make everything better.
Turbos also make LS swaps more efficient, and the Tracker proves it. Although the ad does not go into great detail and doesn’t give any horsepower figures, the Turbo makes LS swaps more enjoyable. The Tracker uses a two-step launch system to avoid a huge wheelie by simply footbraking. Although we like wheelies, we admit that it would be a lot more dangerous to do so in a Geo Tracker.
The Geo’s interior comes with all the safety gear and harness required to drag race, but the ad mentions that the Geo also has a standard seatbelt for city driving. Although street legal, the Geo will be able to run a quarter-mile at 132 mph in 9.8 seconds at the track. The ad concludes with the wise observation that this car is and not beginner’s car. Not that any car capable driving at such speeds is suitable for novice drivers. This mental Geo is certainly more difficult to control than, for example, a Dodge Challenger Demon.
We have had the ad up for over a month and we honestly don’t believe it’s because of its price. Is there anyone who has the nerve to put on this terrifyingly amazing creation?
