Venture RV’s Sonic X was first introduced back in March. It was still in concept form, but it has become a production model. The versatile trailer is not exactly the same as the concept car, but it does have some features that are lost on the way to production. However, most of the niceties have been kept.
The impressive specifications sheet convinced the RVBusiness Magazine jury to award it the title of the 2020 RV Of The Years. They praised its features, from off-road tires to solar planes. To keep the price of the trailer affordable, the concept’s carbon-fiber walls were replaced by high-gloss laminated fiberglass that is mounted on aluminum frames on the production model.
The Sonic X is a viable option for off-the-grid solutions in remote areas thanks to its four solar panels, a 250-amp lithium battery, a 2000-watt converter and 100-amp charger. The water filtration system can draw water from 75 feet away (nearly 23 m) and remove all contaminants.
Venture RV offers two floorplans of the trailer, with additional amenities like exterior mounts for front-mounted bicycles and a kayak at its back. The furniture is Euro-designed with solid wood cabinets, a Murphy bed with foam mattress, under-bed storage and designer valances. The comprehensive feature list covers everything, from a microwave to an LED TV and medicine cabinets to a glass-door shower and a medicine cabinet. You can also choose from Luxury and Xtreme packages that offer additional content, depending on your needs.
