Video Highlights Design Changes in the New Lamborghini Urus Evo Spy Video

They aren’t too severe, but they are noticeable.

The Lamborghini Urus has been updated. We have seen the updated design of test vehicles in action under tight camouflage. It doesn’t conceal all the crossover’s design details. The Varryx YouTube channel has a new video that shows one Urus Evo being tested alongside a current model. This made it easy to see the differences.

Lamborghini’s midcycle refresh will see the model get a new fascia and other minor updates. The video highlights these differences. The front grille and intake openings get a simplified treatment, with horizontal slats that are simpler and new intake slots on the bumper. The rear has more subtle changes, but there are still significant ones. The rear bumper is now a different shape, which changes the design and location of the outlet vents at the rear of the quarter panel.

Both the Urus Evo and current Urus are shown accelerating in the video. However, it is impossible to tell if they sound the same or different. Although the Urus Evo is slightly throatier than its counterpart, it’s impossible to know for sure. Video last week captured a Urus equipped with microphones to record its exhaust note. This hint suggests that the company may have been measuring something else.

The twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V8 engine that powers the current Urus will continue to power the updated model. It generates 641 horsepower (478 Kilowatts) as well as 628 pound-feet (848 Newton meters) of torque. Lamborghini won’t make any major changes to its powertrain. However, a few software upgrades could improve the operation of the engine. There are also minor tweaks to the interior, such as an updated infotainment or other changes. Lamborghini is yet to announce when the new Urus will arrive, but it’s believed that it will arrive in Europe for the model year 2022 before heading global.
