You might have problems with space if you are taller than 6’7″.
Two-seat sports cars don’t have a lot of passenger space, which can be a problem for those who are taller or heavier than others. Matt, from the Lethal Garage Youtube channel, has the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 and experience how it fits him. He is 6’5” tall and 300 lbs.
C8 is quite low so it can be difficult to lower his body. He says that the seat and steering wheel fit well after adjusting them. To ensure enough headroom, he had the dealer install the roof panel. Matt is happy to use the helmet he has now that the piece is in place.
The ergonomics of the Corvette are excellent. Although the buttons aren’t very attractive from an aesthetic standpoint, the range of buttons is sufficient to make it easy for the driver toggle between them. The driver is also visible on the infotainment screen, which looks great but may not be ideal for passengers who want to make changes.
According to his estimates, someone taller than 6 feet 7 inches might have trouble fitting in the cabin. Because of the large amount of headroom, drivers with longer torsos might not experience this problem.
The Centers for Disease Control states that the average American male stands at 5-feet-9-inches. This is significantly shorter than Matt. He found that most people who drive the Corvette should have no trouble fitting in.
