Viper SRT Claims It’s a Mustang, But Crashes Leaving Cars and Coffee

We can say that the driver is fine, but we cannot speak for his ego.

There have been plenty of YouTube videos of Mustang drivers colliding at car meets and trying to show off their cars. But this guy decided to go against the grain by riding in an SRT Viper to grab the attention of the crowd. He did exactly that, but it was not as planned, just like the teaser for The Grand Tour season 2.

The driver of the Viper was leaving a Cars and Coffee event in Houston, Texas. He pressed the accelerator hard in order to impress the crowd. The Viper has a V10 engine that produces more than 600 horsepower to its rear wheels. This makes it far from a car you would consider forgiving. The high-performance coupe went sideways and eventually hit the curb. He was then forced to stop in front of the traffic.

The crash occurred at a low speed and both the driver (and the passenger) were able to escape the Viper. However, the car will require some TLC to get it back in shape. It’s not surprising that everyone ran to the accident site to capture photos and videos.

While we won’t comment on the reactions of others, laughing at the misery of others is something that we will not do. It’s all fun until something really bad happens. It’s not true here. Only the Viper will have to be rehabilitated in order to get on the road again. Let’s hope the driver learns his lesson and doesn’t try it again.
