Ocean Spray may feel the same way right now. For a viral video, the juice company gave a pickup truck to in October. The quick footage showed the Idaho man gliding from a pickup truck and gulping down Ocean Spray.
Ocean Spray should have received a lot of publicity from the viral video. The Nissan Frontier was the company’s way to say thank you for the free advertisement.
It appears that the Frontier Pro-4X was not the man’s choice of truck, as shown in the embedded video. Nathan Apodaca (known on TikTok under 420doggface208) posted a video showing his new Chevrolet Silverado. The caption read “Ghosted…five-star upgrade like …”” and included a few hashtags. It appears that Apodaca has “upgraded” its truck to a larger one.
Autoblog however reached out to Apodaca and confirmed that the TikTok viral star had traded in the Frontier for a Silverado Z71. It was awkward, but it is still the same color.
Apodaca’s actions, however frowned upon by some, weren’t illegal. Ocean Spray gave the truck on their own initiative, and we doubt there was any contract. The transaction was not facilitated by Chevy or Nissan, so the thought is still there. No matter what brand the truck is, it’s still a gift from juice companies.
