This prototype is very black and we see some aggressive body modifications.
[UPDATE] Twenty new spy photos have been added to the gallery’s beginning. This new imagery gives you a better view of the sleek electric SUV.
We only have photos of the prototype’s rear taken with a smartphone. Unfortunately, these are not all available. We can still see the ID.4 similarities in the profile. We can also see some key differences that indicate this is an ID.4 GTX prototype.
The gossip world is a bit quiet about GTX upgrades. The standard ID.4 will come with either a single motor or dual-motor setup. This gives the EV rear- or all-wheel drive. It’s almost certain that the GTX will turn all four wheels due to the model’s performance and the X in GTX likely denoting an all-wheel-drive.
Inside Evos pointed out that the ID Crozz concept produced 302 horsepower (225kilowatts), so this seems like a good place for VW to start. VW will need to be able to compete with the Tesla Model or the upcoming Mustang Mach E.
