The Volkswagen ID.4 GTX was unveiled to us around a year ago, when a prototype was tested on public roads. The Wolfsburg-based automaker has been preparing a sportier version for the electric crossover. This is one of the industry’s most secretive secrets. It’s now official, and GTX will not be a single model.
Volkswagen has announced that the ID.4 GTX will debut on April 28th. This will be the first in a series of performance ID models. The GTX suffix is the electric equivalent of the GTI, GTD and GTE. It’s used by the brand for its performance gasoline, hybrid and diesel models.
