After its unveiling during the Paris Motor Show Volkswagen has released final specifications for the Passat BlueMotion.
The eco-minded family car can be purchased as a sedan, or an estate. It is powered by a 1.6 liter TDI engine producing 105 PS (77 kW / 103 hp), and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft). The sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h within 12.2 seconds, and reach a top speed at 198 km/h (in 12.2 seconds) and an estate speed of 196 km/h. A start/stop system, improved aerodynamics, and a lower ride height allow owners to expect a fuel consumption of 4.1 L/100 km with CO2 emissions of 109g/km (4.3L/100km and 112 g/km for the estate). This is an improvement of 0.1% for both the sedan and wagon.
The Passat BlueMotion, currently available at dealers, is priced starting at EUR26,450 in Germany.
