It is simple and beautiful.
Cyan Racing wowed us in September with their Volvo P1800 Cyan. The Volvo P1800 Cyan is a modern take on the classic coupe. However, it features a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. Cyan Racing did not go overboard in modernizing this model. For example, it lacks ABS, power brakes and stability control. Although the summer reveal did not show the interior, Cyan has posted more photos and details about it.
We get our first look at the interior with the new set of photos. It isn’t far off the original. Although it’s not exactly the same, it’s a thoughtful interpretation to the original P1800 interior design. A vertical display of the oil and water gauges is flanked by two large clusters of circular gauges. Cyan also replicates the three smaller gauges built into the dashboard. They all maintain the minimalistic design. We also see the Recaro seats, five-speed manual gearbox and the five-speed Recaro manual transmission that sends power to rear wheels.

Cyan also re-engineered the power delivery of this race car. Cyan also designed a cleaner engine bay, which was reminiscent of the original. Cyan also created a new chassis for the
P1800, upgrading the original steering box with rack-and-pinion-steering. Two-way adjustable dampers and an independent rear suspension are other suspension components. Aluminum uprights are also included.
There are many other subtle adjustments that were made to the car, including the wider track and repositioning the greenhouse. The car also uses carbon fiber and high strength steel for increased rigidity. Cyan has not made the pricing information public for the car, but it is available to “prospective customers”, suggesting a high price.
