We are getting closer to the big game. The preview of Super Bowl ads is underway. Super Bowl LIV will be broadcast on February 2. Volvo is part of the action, but not in the way you might expect. You won’t find any clever Super Bowl advertisement, nor will you see any Volvo ad during the game, or before it. This is interesting because the automaker could offer $1 million worth brand new cars for safety. Or, you could say that safety is achieved during the game.

A safety is a situation in which one of several things happens to an offense team within their own zone. For example, getting tackled. It’s known as a safety, and the opposing team receives two points and possession. This doesn’t happen often, only 9 safeties have been recorded in Super Bowl 53’s history.
