The Volvo XC90 R-Design can now be ordered in the UK, starting at PS49,785. It made its debut in Detroit at the start of the year. The car was painted in a matte blue finish. Volvo UK now displays the “sportiest XC90” with a regular-red finish. The body is equipped with 20-inch, diamond-cut alloys. It has a glossy black mesh front grille and silver side mirror caps. All cars come with tinted rear windows, 12.3 inch active TFT driver’s info display, leather/nubuck seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Customers will also have the option to purchase powered front seats with memory function and upgraded interior lighting. They can also enjoy sports pedals and a black headliner.
These goodies are added to the XC90 Momentum, which includes standard LED headlights and a power-operated tailgate. It also has a two-zone automatic climate system with temperature control, as well as a touchscreen display of 9 inches for the infotainment systems. It comes standard with all the safety and assistance features you’d expect from Volvos, including front collision warning, lane departure warning and pedestrian and cyclist detection. For those who want a smooth ride, an optional air suspension is available. The XC90 R-Design is available with the T6 Drive-E, D5 diesel and the T6 Drive-E. It also comes with the more powerful T8 Twin Engine hybrid setup. Prices for the UK market start at PS49,785 OTR. Delivery should begin early next year. R-Design is just a show version. You will need to wait for the Polestar model, which will include some mechanical upgrades that will complement the more aggressive design.
