VW Arteon Wagon spotted in Traffic, Flaunting Its Extra-Long Roof

While testing, we spotted a production-ready Arteon wagon.

The VW Arteon wagon was spotted being tested in Europe, demonstrating its elegant design. The Arteon sedan is a striking looking car. It has a sleek design that blends the aggressive front and the low rear of a four-door coupe. However, the new wagon improves on the Arteon’s already impressive design.

The Audi A5-based luxury sedan from VW combines sleek lines and a well-appointed interior. It is the flagship luxury product of VW. The Arteon’s 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder TSI engine produces 268 horsepower, and 258 lb.ft. of torque.

The US market will get the TSI engine mated with a VW 8-Speed torque converter automatic transmission, instead of the dual-clutch used in sportier cars. Customers can choose between a turbocharged 2.0-liter diesel engine or a diesel option in Europe. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission used in European Arteons replaces the 8-speed auto found on American Arteons.

Rumours swirl around a performance trim for the Arteon. A 400 horsepower ArteonR is expected to be available, according to VW insiders. The Arteon R will be using a new version VW’s legendary VR6 engine, instead of the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4. The Arteon R rumor is very exciting, but nothing beats the news about a new luxury wagon.

We have seen photos of the Arteon wagon before. The Arteon wagon, which was being tested in cold weather in Sweden, was captured. VW attempted to hide the Arteon wagon as a Passat during this test but our keen-eyed team was not fooled. The Arteon wagon was seen on European streets looking close to being ready for production. The Arteon will debut in 2021 and we hope it makes its way to America.
