VW ID. The Buzz starts at EUR64,581 in Germany and goes on sale in the USA in 2024

You can order an electric bus if you are located in Europe later this week.

Volkswagen ID. Buzz, the most practical and innovative electric vehicle from Wolfsburg, will not be available in the United States until 2024. The zero-emissions bus, which is a global product built on the MEB platform will be available to pre-order in Germany and other European nations starting May 20, 2018. Prices start at EUR64,581 for the five-seat ID. Buzz Pro in Germany. Customers will receive their first vehicles this fall.

The ID’s starting price is determined if you convert the currency straight. At the current exchange rate, Buzz is approximately $67,000. Keep in mind that the US price will not be affected by Europe’s 18-20 percent VAT. The starting price drops even further if you apply the US Federal Tax Credit up to $7,000.

Volkswagen claims that the starting price does not include the EUR7,500 environmental rebate for Germany. The EV bus’s starting price drops to EUR56 606 if the customer is in Germany and qualifies for the full environmental rebate. The ID is also available. Buzz Cargo’s base price before rebate is EUR54,430. This can be reduced to EUR46,455. The electric van will soon have an all-wheel-drive and a base version with a smaller battery.

Even entry-level ID. Buzz gets rich standard equipment. The standard kit includes an emergency braking system and proactive occupant protection system. It also features a multifunctional steering wheel, LED headlights and cruise control. Optional equipment includes 18-,19-, and 20 inch wheels, LED matrix headslights, an illuminated crossbar between headlights, LED taillights and dynamic indicator lights, as well as eleven color options.

The ID will be available at the European market launch. The Buzz will come with one 82.0-kWh (77.0kWh net) battery option. One electric motor produces power with 201 horsepower (154 Kilowatts) & 229 pound-feet (311 Newton-meters), respectively – figures that are comparable to the current VW ID. A CCS connector can charge at up to 170.0kW. This is the maximum charging power that can be plugged into an AC station. Next year, the version for the United States of the Tesla Model X will be available with a longer wheelbase. It will go on sale in the 2024 model year.
