The interior includes a sitting area, kitchenette and a complete interior. There’s even Lego!
Lego’s stunning Volkswagen T1 Transporter Kit is gone. An even more impressive T2 camper, which is larger than life-size, will be on display at F.re.e Leisure and Travel Fair Munich. The van looks just like the real deal from the outside. It even has a pop-up roof. You will find all the amenities you’d expect in a Lego brick interior.
Pascal Lenhard and Rene Hoffmeister, a certified Lego master model maker, used 400,000 Lego bricks to build this full-size T2 Transporter in six weeks. The 3d images were used to determine how many bricks were needed to build the model. However, they ended up with 20,000 missing pieces to make the windows. Hoffmeister, Lenhard and others had to work tirelessly to complete the assembly once they had the parts.
Even better, the builders managed to include a sliding door just like on the T2 Transporter. The bright green seating area is surrounded by an orange roof. This is a modern-styled color combination that matches the van’s 1960s roots. The accessories, such as the tableware and radio, are also Lego.

The VW Group seems to have a genuine love for full-sized Lego block creations. Bugatti, for example, unveiled , a full-size, fully-driveable Chiron, which the company made from the plastic blocks. Porsche joined the fray with a 911, which looked almost like a Speed Champions kit. Porsche also released a huge version of its 911 GT3 RS LegoTechnic kit in 2016.
