The Panamera lineup is topped by the Turbo S.
Porsche made its first steps towards full electrification last year with the Taycan sedan. It isn’t the only four-door model from the automaker. The automaker also gave the Panamera, its other sedan, a mid-cycle refresh that included a new Panamera turbo S trim. Carwow’s latest video shows how the model was redesigned.
This video gives a detailed review of the Panamera as well as all the modifications Porsche made to it – both inside and outside. The car’s sprint to 60 mph (96 km/h) takes 3.38 seconds. This is hidden at the 10-minute mark. Although the company claims that the car can do this in just 2.9 seconds it is likely possible in perfect conditions. The driver’s ability to do it in a few tenths of a second could be explained, or the conditions. Because the Panamera is powerful, this can easily be explained.
The 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine from the automaker produced 620 horsepower (462 Kilowatts) as well as 604 lbft (820 Newton-meters). The video shows that the car can produce 630 horsepower (469 kW). Standard features include an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. These are great additions that help the car get down to speed. It can reach speeds of 196 miles an hour (315 km per hour).
The pricing information for the 2021 Panamera Turbo S is not yet known, but it would be reasonable to expect a starting price of $180,000. The new Turbo S E-Hybrid will replace it. It starts at $187,000. A well-appointed Turbo S will cost more than $200,000, as Porsche loves its expensive options. It’s impressive that the Turbo S can sprint to 60 in 3.38 seconds, but it’s a sedan first and foremost. It offers exceptional performance, but that’s just one aspect of an excellent package that many people might overlook.
