DK Engineering specializes in Ferraris so the Bugatti Véyron must have at least some link to the Prancing Horse. Topaz Detailing was commissioned to transform the Ferrari exterior into a Blu Abu Dhabi. This is more than a simple repaint. Topaz Detailing instead uses the TopazSkin system, which is similar to a wrap but uses real automotive paint. The base coat is then applied, and the desired color is added to the top.
The material can be torn if the owner wishes. It would reveal the original champagne-silver combination. The new blue shade is more subtle than the two-tone scheme. The company then gives the Veyron detailed detailing after applying TopazSkin. This Veyron looks almost like a repainted Veyron from the outside, which is understandable given the recoloring process. To make sure the cabin looks as good as the exterior, the interior is also cleaned thoroughly.
Topaz Detailing sent the Bugatti back home to DK Engineering after the job was completed. The Bugatti was displayed at DK’s booth at Salon Prive along with some Ferraris. Bugatti is currently more than halfway through its Chiron production run of 450 examples. The company will be closer to the end of production for the supercar after it has completed the 60 Chiron Pur Sport units. It will be exciting to see the next model that the brand develops.
