One of the races is won by Dodge. Find out which one.
Although it is no longer in production, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon still manages to be a very fast vehicle at a drag strip. This video shows two races of an older pickup racing at high speeds. A Challenger SRT Hellcat competes with a tuned Ford F-250.
The Demon is first compared to a 1970s Datsun pickup. The Dodge would easily outclass the Japanese pickup in most cases. This one has a massive supercharged engine that’s close to being the height of your hood.
The lights turn green and the front wheels of the Demon rise into the air. The car then rockets off. With a time of 9.84 seconds and 136.61 mph (219.9 km/h), Dodge won the drag race. Although the Datsun loses, its 11.28 second time at 124.25mph (200 km/h) is still impressive.
Next, a Demon will take on a 1940 Ford pickup. It boasts a massive supercharger, just like the Datsun. It’s now the Dodge’s turn, but it is not too much. Ford leads the race, but Challenger takes the win at the finish.
Ford pickup runs 10.09 seconds at 133.17mph (2214.3 kph). The Demon completes the distance in 10.19 seconds, at 133.55mph (214.9 km/h).
The Challenger SRT Hellcat finally takes on the diesel-powered Ford F-250 with 900 horsepower (671 Kilowatts), according this YouTube description. The race starts slowly. The race is very close once they launch. With a time of 11.65 seconds and a speed of 118.01 MPH (189.9 Kph), the pickup wins. The Dodge is just behind the pickup with a time of 11.98 seconds at 123.2 mph (198.4 km/h).
