Freddie Flintoff was a little too hot to go into a corner. Hay bales were the only casualties.
While the final season of Top Gear has not yet started, the next generation is making headlines. Digital Spy discovered that Freddie Flintoff, one of the two new hosts who will replace Matt LeBlanc or Rory Reid, had an off-track incident at a race in Mansfield, England. Although Richard Hammond’s ghost haunts BBC Motoring Show, technically he is still alive and well. That means that he cannot be considered a ghost. You get the idea.
Although there were no injuries, several bales hay were brutally killed as the Subaru Brat that he was driving wildly oversteered on the damp track. According to the report, the town’s center was blocked off for some type of electric race. The above video shows a steady stream silent cars driving past the camera. This segment is expected to appear on the next season’s BBC motoring show. Flintoff’s Brat, with its large-than-life Subaru WRC livery, certainly fits the bill for a cheap car challenge.
Flintoff stopped under an empty market stall after slicing through the straw. Flintoff seemed fine and the Subie looked no worse. The stall was also in good condition, with the exception of some bent poles. Flintoff was back on his feet as though nothing had happened after a brief low-speed transition.
We aren’t sure how all this will fit in the 27 th season of Top Gear . Flintoff was seen skidding off the track when a camera truck was visible towards the end of the clip. Although we assume that there are cameras in cars that capture the action, for the moment, the only footage available is the one at the top. Sir Razma, as listed on YouTube, may get a friendly request for video rights from the BBC.
In just a few days, the final season of Top Gear will begin with Reid and LeBlanc. LeBlanc will be leaving the show, and Reid will host the wrap-up show Additional Gear. Season 27 will see Chris Harris continue with Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness.
