Watch Student-Built Lykan Hypersport Beat On Unsuspecting Sports Cars

Volunteering is what we want.

With its futuristic design, high performance and excellent handling, the Lykan Hypersport already has a place on the international supercar scene. It has been seen in action many times and was even featured on the Fast and Furious live action tour. The Genius garage saved the car used for the tour. This non-profit organization supports young automotive engineers, designers, talents, and other talented individuals.

ClassicCars.com reports that Casey Putsch is the leader of the project. He acquired the Hypersport body and chassis to build a custom-built vehicle, which he engineered and built in collaboration with his students. Putsch’s YouTube channel describes him as “a craftsman, engineer, artist, naturalist and racing driver”. These are all human qualities that have contributed to the success of the program.

Hypersport is already a star:

Last month, the project was finally ready for its first race. The custom Hypersport was taken to the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Track, near Mansfield in Ohio. It was a great success. Putsch and his students also bought a Porsche BoxsterS, and combined them into one. As you can see the exterior of the Hypersport is almost unchanged while the interior is a German sports car. The build is documented on his YouTube channel.

Although the performance is impressive, what is really remarkable is the engine and exhaust sounds. The video at the top shows the Lykan Hypersport custom build racing against a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and a Porsche 911. It’s clear that it does its job well. Good job, guys. Keep up the good work.
