Watch the Ford Bronco 2021 Go Vertically Climbing Rocks at Moab

Even in stock trim, the SUV is impressive off-road.

You’re likely aware that Ford has been putting its new Bronco through a lot of rigorous testing. We saw the SUV’s rebirth on the Rubicon Trail in California last week and new Bronco offroading videos have been appearing almost daily. This latest video (featured above), keeps us in Moab, Utah, for more rock climbing at Hell’s Revenge.

Yesterday, we covered part 1 of this adventure. Hell’s Revenge, a 6.5-mile trail is best for experienced drivers. It is steep and has many challenging crevices. The latest video is certainly not disappointing in this aspect. Mickey’s Hot Tub, a well-known obstacle on the trail, requires vehicles to drive into a deep pit with an almost vertical exit. Ford credits Ford for the brief clip, which is only a few seconds long. The Bronco emerges with little fanfare.

The suspension articulation of the Bronco and weight transfer are also demonstrated on some very steep trails and crevices. The approach and departure angles of the four-door models with longer wheelbases are excellent. This is made even more impressive when you consider that none of the test cars appear to have the Sasquatch Package. This adds extra clearance as well as the 35-inch tires. These are Badlands models which are slow-speed oriented and have locking differentials front & rear.

The Broncos seem to be able to conquer the difficult terrain, just like the Moab video. The clip is from Bronco Nation. This clip is definitely biased towards all things Bronco, so it’s not objective. The Bronco’s offroad abilities in stock trim are not up for debate. What other environments can the Bronco conquer with the Sasquatch package or the wide range of accessories Ford offers?

We’ve seen rock crawling in all forms, so maybe the test fleet will now move on to desert running. We’re ready for whatever comes next.
