One WCF reader sent us some renders of the 2015 Skoda Superb, based on our spy photos and the official sketches.
Skoda’s flagship model will get more interesting design-wise. It will take the patriarchal styling from the outgoing model and replace them with a fresher look. The trunk’s dual opening has been eliminated, allowing for a more attractive rear end for the Superb. It will also be a liftback like its smaller brother the Octavia.
The 2015 Skoda Superb will ride on a stretched version the MQB platform. It will be heavily based on the Volkswagen Passat B8. It will be 20mm longer than the current model and 50mm wider than the previous model, while losing up to 75kg (165 lbs) in weight. With the rear seats in place, trunk space will increase to 625 liters and 1,760 liters if folded. The wheelbase will increase by 80mm, making it more spacious. This will allow for additional legroom for rear passengers.
Skoda already revealed that the all-new Superb would be unveiled mid-February 2015. The Geneva Motor Show public debut will follow in March. The Czech sedan sales will start in mid-2015, with a price tag of EUR25,000.
