What Does the 2022 Kia Sportage Look Like In Real Life?

In a dark color, it’s less polarizing.

It was easy to see the reactions of the public when the 2022 Kia Sportage was revealed this week. While some were annoyed by the design’s polarizing nature, others appreciated Kia’s attempt to create a completely different model for the new generation model in its full design this week. This was part of the company’s shift to the “Opposites Unified” design language. It all started with the Kia.

The Sportage’s final design features sharp lines and many unique design elements. However, the most disappointing aspect is the white paint color used in the press images to highlight the accents.

Here’s another walkaround video of Sportage on YouTube from Wiopa TV. Although we didn’t understand what the presenter was trying to say, the footage allows us to see the model in action. The Sportage is also available in black which I think suits the busy design very well.

The LED boomerang DRLs and the LED boomerang DRLs are prominent in the front. However, the black highlights of other lighting elements blend well into the body’s color. The Sportage has a different set of wheels as you can see in the walkaround video. Contrary to the press photo, we think the rims are more conservative. However, it is just one option depending on the trim level.

What Does the 2022 Kia Sportage Look Like In Real Life?

The 2022 Sportage will undoubtedly be revealed in full this year, and it will most likely go on sale shortly thereafter. We are not yet able to view the compact crossover, as Kia is mum about global availability. The powertrains will be revealed in full by Kia, according to the company. We’ll be keeping an eye on the ground, even though no date has been established.
