Hennessey will only build 12 examples.
Hennessey’s crazy idea to add another axle to the Ram TRX 2020 was first revealed to us. The tuner then teased the Mammoth 1000TRX 6×6 – a monster truck with 1,000 horsepower and six wheels. The announcement was not surprising as this isn’t the first six-wheeled machine from the company. Hennessey today announced that the TRX 6×6 has finally arrived on the production line.
This is a very expensive truck, but there are likely no comparable trucks on the road at this price. It measures 88 inches wide (223.52 centimeters), and is nearly 7 feet tall (2.1 meters). These numbers are small in comparison to the truck’s length of 283 inches (719cm).
“Everything about the Mammoth 6×6 looks bigger, more intimidating, and is more powerful off-road. John Hennessey, owner of the tuner, said that it is the undisputed king on the road.
The engine that powers the huge beast is the same one as the RAM TRX – a supercharged, 6.2-liter V8. Hennessey added many upgrades to the engine, including a supercharger of 2.65-liters to increase its output to 1,012 horsepower (754 Kilowatts) as well as 969 pound-feet (1.313 Newton-meters). Although the TRX’s stock engine produces 702 horsepower (881 kW) 650 lbft (516 Nm), it is not enough to satisfy Hennessey.
The tuner also added supercharger pulleys and upgraded spark plugs to the car, as well as high-flow fuel injectors. Hennessey added a third axle with a lockable diff that required an extension of the wheelbase. New front and rear bumpers are included, as well as extra LED lighting. The truck also has 20-inch Hennessey 10-spoke wheels wrapped with 37-inch offroad tires.
The truck comes with a front leveling kit and upgraded electronic fold out steps. It also has embroidered headrests and Hennessey badging. This truck is Hennessey’s largest and only 12 are planned for production. Each truck will cost more than $449,550.
