Wild Audi RS5 Has Porsche Violet Color, Bronze Wheels, Race Car Steering Wheel

To put it mildly, the owner has interesting tastes.

The beauty of the Audi A5 Sportback is not in everyone’s eye. The BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe rival, regardless of its base, S or spicy RS flavor is widely regarded to be a beautiful car. Is this the one? You’ll have to decide. Although we haven’t seen RS5s with so much carbon fiber before, there is more to this beast than just its lightweight treatment.

, our friend, had the opportunity to photograph this five-door Audi in Doha. We are giving you all a virtual tour. The V6-powered car is finished in a beautiful Viola metallic finish and rides on 20-inch HRE tires with a bronze/gold finish. This creates a strong contrast and makes the car stand out even more.

Karbel Australia’s aftermarket body kit includes front canards, a splitter, as well as chunky side skirts and a spoiler on the tailgate. Surprisingly, the twin-turbo engine 2.9-liter produces the same 444 horsepower as 600 Newton-meters (442 pounds-feet) and torque.

The extra carbon fiber can be found on the interior, where even more is available. The most noticeable change is the custom steering wheel. It has a yoke-like shape with the upper rim being largely shaved, reminding us of both the Tesla Model S Plaid or the Toyota bZ4X.

This one is more like a race car steering wheel than an actual yoke, as in the electric cars where the upper half of the steering wheel is removed. The sides are coated with Alcantara, while the bottom and lower spokes are made of carbon fiber. It looks like an original Audi steering knob. The top of the rim was removed and the new extremities were filled with carbon fiber.

Although we would rather have the “wheel”, there is nothing better than the classic one, especially when it concerns driving maneuvers at low speeds. The other changes include the Porsche-like color and the wheels. However, not all of them are in this combination. Although the carbon fiber add-ons enhance the Audi RS5 Sportback’s sporty nature we think the canards are too loud.
