Wild BMW E36 Offroader Ready for Starring Role in Mad Max

We don’t expect it to be in tip-top condition, but it isn’t bad.

There were many versions of the BMW 3 Series E36 generation. The BMW 3 Series was originally produced in a coupe and sedan. A convertible version was added later. In 1994, it was offered in a three-door hatchback and as a five-door wagon named Touring. We even saw an E36 pickup converter last year, and it was amazing.

What’s the problem? You might call it an off-roader. Vavato has a dirt-loving BMW 3 Series up for grabs – it looks straight outta Mad Max.

This converted red 3er was christened the “Stamptertje” and was originally built as a 318is coupe. The M42 gasoline engine from BMW is what powers it. It produces 138 horsepower (103 Kilowatts) as well as 129 pound-feet (175 Newton meters) of torque at its launch. This car has a new clutch and hydraulic handbrake.

This 3er receives a customized set of suspensions for offroad usage. It features raising blocks, modified wishbones and E92 steering arms at the front. E46 springs are used in the rear with camber arms, coilover blocks and shock absorbers from BMW X3. All wheels are covered in mud-terrain tires.

You can see that modifications include a waterproof snorkel as well as a custom exhaust system. The push bars at the front and rear are custom-made, while the roll cage on the exterior protects passengers.

This BMW E36 off-roader is in a pretty bad state. It’s not even close to its best. The current owners had a lot of fun with it. If you are interested, the starting price is 1,300 Euros or approximately $1,448 at the current exchange rate. Click the link below to place a bid on this car.
