It is only permitted to be driven 2,500 miles per calendar year.
The specs sheet for the Bugatti Chiron is overwhelming in its sheer number of numbers. The W16 8.0-liter quad turbo engine produces 1,479 horsepower (1,600 Newton-meters), and 1,180 poundfeet (1.600 Newton-meters). The engine can only go nine miles per gallon in cities and can reach a maximum electronically limited speed of 261 mph if the special speed key has been inserted.
This white Chiron Sport is priced at $3.3 million. This isn’t a new car, as it’s a used 2019 model with just over 1,200 miles. Brooks Weisblat, DragTimes, stopped by the Lamborghini Broward dealership in Florida to run the numbers and determine if he can afford the lease payments.
The original sticker price was $3.5 million. It depreciated by $200,000 over 12 months. The Sky View Roof was an option at $62,000. Porsche 718 Cayman money was used to purchase two fixed glass panels which provide more headroom. Brooks was offered $350,000 by the dealer for his Ferrari F8 Tributo as a down payment.
Now, let’s get to the truly crazy numbers. Monthly payment for a 3-year lease agreement is $52,196. The two-year plan will cost you $65,950. You still get two years warranty on the car and free service. The annual mileage is limited to 2,500 miles (4.023 kilometers). With the two-year plan, you can drive it an average of 208 miles per month. Each mile will cost about $317.
Brooks would pay $1.9 million for the car to be leased for two years (taxes and all) with the option of paying it off at the end to keep it. Yikes.
