You can upgrade the power, but it will increase your cost.
Manifattura Automobili Torino will display its revival of the legendary Lancia Stratos. However, it will be quite expensive to get one of the 25 units. According to Automotive News Europe, The price of the model will be 500,000 euros (roughly $618,000). However, customers will need to provide a Ferrari 430 Scuderia donation car – an additional estimated value of $108,821, as per Kelley Blue Book.
MAT will be used to take the 430 Scuderia. It will cut 7.9 inches (200 mm) off the Ferrari’s wheelbase. The modified intake and exhaust will increase the 4.3-liter V8’s output to 533 horsepower (397 Kilowatts) instead of the original 503 HP (375 kW). Customers can also choose to increase the power output up to 600 horsepower (447 kW).
The New Stratos was originally a unique, 430-Scuderia-based vehicle that was built in 2010. Pininfarina was the original designer and refused to make more bodies without Ferrari’s permission. The Prancing Horse did not grant this permission. MAT and a company called New Stratos gbr are now able to assemble a few more bodies for those who have the financial means to do so.
MAT and New Stratos gbr have a booth at Geneva Motor Show, where they will display the standard New Stratos as well as a Safari version and a GT racing car. Information about the two variants is not yet available. Automotive News Europe reports that MAT has at least 12 customers already for the New Stratos.
The New Stratos’ base price is $720,000, plus any options. It is also more expensive than other examples of the original model. A stunning ruby-red example sold recently for $475,000on Bring Your Trailer. This leaves plenty of money to the matching watch or if you want one.
