The new GT won’t be available until the second half of 2022.
The Mercedes-AMG GT was introduced in 2014. It has been improved upon over the years. The 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series set a new record for production vehicles at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. The next generation is being crafted by the designers. This rendering from Motor.es shows how the coupe might look from behind.
This rendering shows the AMG GT design, but it has been updated to look fresh. The tail is now more prominent with a teardrop shape. It’s also a little less bulbous than its current appearance. The sharper styling is accentuated by the upward kink at the rear of the window. The rear has narrow taillights that extend the entire width. The vents between the front fenders and the side are wider than the current model.
This rendering is not entirely speculation. A video of Lewis Hamilton looking at a clay model which appeared to show the next-gen AMG GT was released in late 2019. Although it was not the final design, it gave an idea of what to expect.
According to reports, the next-gen AMG GT will be only available as a hardtop coupe. Mercedes is rumored to reserve a convertible version for the new SL1_. Buyers might be able get the GT with four, six, or eight-cylinder engines. Many of these mills would also have hybrid assistance to comply with emission regulations. A fascinating rumor states that all variants will have all-wheel drive.
The new GT will be available in the first half 2022. Delivery should start in the second half of 2022. As with the first-generation version, you can expect new versions with higher performance over the course of its life.
