Nissan Demonstrates Ariya E-4ORCE’s Smoothness with A Ramen Robot

This is a Japanese way to show off a cool feature.

All-wheel-drive vehicles are great for traction, acceleration and stability. The 2023 Ariya Nissan has its e-4ORCE system, which is great for driving comfort.

Nissan shows how the all-electric ramen server keeps Japanese noodles from leaking by using the e-4ORCE. This is a short clip that shows how the robot server works with the Ariya electric crossovers.

Nissan explained that the e-4ORCE was created to improve ride comfort by using two electric motors. Ryozo Hiraku is the expert in Nissan’s powertrain engineering and EV engineering division. He explained that each axle controls regenerative brake, which allows them to reduce pitch or dive.

Although electric motor response can give excellent acceleration, that was not our goal. Hiraku said that e-4ORCE’s motor control response allows us to control vehicle motion immediately after the brakes are applied. This gives all occupants, especially passengers, a smooth, stable ride.

This is what you can see here in the e-4ORCE-equipped robot ramen service, which we can expect to see from the Ariya.

The 2023 Nissan Ariya can be reserved in the US. Prices start at $45,950 for single-motor trims. Ariya Platinum+ e-4ORCE, the only trim that has the AWD system, is available for $58,950. Although five other models will be offered by Nissan that come with a standard-sized battery and a new e-4ORCE-equipped model, it is not clear if those models will also include an additional variant.

This Nissan Ariya has two electric motors and an 87.5-kWh battery. It produces 389 horsepower (290 Kilowatts) as well as 442 pound-feet (602 Newton-meters) of torque. Range is rated at 265 ml (424 km).
