Although the Transformers live action film franchise might not be as popular with car enthusiasts as the Fast & Furious, the box office giant is moving towards releasing its seventh installment. The plot of Transformers – Rise of the Beasts is still unknown. We do know that the film will take place in 1994. New photos taken by the director on his Instagram account give us a glimpse of some of the movie’s vehicular stars.
These photos show a very OG-looking Optimus Prime. However, it still lacks any Autobot decals. Bumblebee is back with a new Chevrolet Camaro in second-generation. It also has several off-road modifications. For 2018’s Bumblebee spinoff movie , the popular character assumed the appearance of a VW Beetle. The photo also features a Porsche 964 911 and a Ducati 916.
The Autobots will be facing off against Nightbird, an R33 Nissan Skyline GT-R. They are joined by a GMC Topkick truck tow truck and a Mack semi-truck. As we near the theatrical release, we’ll be learning more about the film’s villains as well as the plot. Transformers : Rise of the Beasts will be in theaters next year, on June 24, 2022. These films will be a sequel to Bumblebee. They take place after the movie’s events of 1994, but before the original Transformers movie.
Since 2007, the Transformers movie franchise has made nearly $5 billion in box-office revenue. This is not far behind the Fast and Furious movie franchise which has brought in over $6 billion. Two global box office franchises highlight cool cars but they are not the film’s main focus. To see the role that vehicles play in the film’s new movie, we will have to go to theaters next June.
