The 2012 C63 AMG is inspired by the SL63 AMG and features aggressive styling and a redesigned inside.
Mercedes officially revealed the 2012 C63AMG following Friday’s leak.
The C63 is inspired by the SL63 AMG and features an aggressive front fascia with an aluminum hood, single-bar grille and new headlights featuring LED indicators. The C63 also features a modified rear bumper with a black diffuser insert, revised tail lights and restyled alloy wheels of 18 inches.
Designers added new dashboards, an upgraded instrument cluster and dark aluminum trim to the interior.
The engine is a naturally-aspirated, 6.3-liter (6208cc), V8 with 451 horsepower (336 kW/ 457 PS) & 443 lb/ft (600 Nm). The sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds (4.6 for the estate), consume an average of 12.0 L/100km (13.3 L/100km) and reach a maximum speed of 250 km/h (155 MPH).
The optional AMG Performance Package boosts output to 480 HP (358 kW/ 487 PS) or 443 lb/ft (600 Nm). The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is still reduced by just one-tenth of an second.
All C63 AMGs come with an upgraded suspension, which features a stronger anti-roll bar as well as revised spring/damper rates.
The C63 will go on sale in July at EUR71,340 in Germany.
